In 1991 Dick Birkenbuel and Jay Albrecht started a premier commercial concrete construction company. Both Dick and Jay recognized the need for a quality concrete subcontractor who could provide an inclusive scope to Owners and General Contractors. The goal at inception was to provide our clientele with a complete structural concrete package incorporating quality, schedule and safety. To date this goal has been the driving force behind the growth and success of ABI. We continue to expand our services to our clients. More and more clients also ask us to provide for all central hoisting, man lift operations, site hoarding and traffic control.
Albrecht Birkenbuel, Inc. is a full service structural concrete subcontractor operating in the greater Seattle Area. ABI offers a complete scope of work for cast in place, tilt up and post tension concrete. ABI has an excellent reputation in the Seattle area for completing projects on time and with exceptional quality. That reputation helped ABI gain initial work in a very down market and to grow at a healthy rate. Our success has been a tribute to good field supervision, foreman and employees as well as great Owners and General Contractors. ABI stresses quality, schedule and safety. We believe the three to be synonymous.
Albrecht Birkenbuel, Inc.
is a union contractor. We enjoy good relations with the Carpenters, Laborers,
Ironworkers, Operating Engineers and the Masons unions. These relations helped
in the creation of a residential agreement for both the Carpenters and the
Laborers Unions. These agreements allowed us to gain market share in the multi-family
arena where several levels of post tension and cast in place concrete is followed
by wood framed buildings on top. ABI has the capability to perform a variety
of work packages related to cast in place concrete. Albrecht Birkenbuel, Inc.
has a history of completed projects from 3 floors to 26 floors. These were
all done with a complete turn key scope of work. On some of the larger projects
ABI furnished central hoisting tower cranes as well as personnel hoists.
